Terms of Service and Rules

RedDotCity Terms and Rules:

The providers ("we", "us", "our") of the service provided by RedDotCity ("RDC") are not responsible for any user-generated content and accounts ("Content"). Content submitted express the views of their author only.

You agree to not use the Service to submit or link to any Content which is defamatory, abusive, hateful, threatening, spam or spam-like, likely to offend, contains adult or objectionable content, contains personal information of others, risks copyright infringement, encourages unlawful activity, or otherwise violates any laws.

All Content you submit or upload may be reviewed by staff members. All Content you submit or upload may be sent to third-party verification services (including, but not limited to, spam prevention services). Do not submit any Content that you consider to be private or confidential.

Please do not discuss any illegal activities at any time in public on the community, as this can threaten our existence as a whole. (RedDotCity.net is not liable for any activities that members participate on 3rd party sites/softwares.)

We reserve the rights to remove or modify any Content submitted for any reason without explanation. Requests for Content to be removed or modified will be undertaken only at our discretion. We reserve the right to take action against any account with the Service at any time.

You are granting us with a non-exclusive, permanent, irrevocable, unlimited license to use, publish, or re-publish your Content in connection with the Service. You retain copyright over the Content.

These terms may be changed at any time without notice.

Forums and Posts:

1A. Every post is moderated and approved of by a moderator, any post with vulgar offensive or a spammy nature will be rejected.

1B. "Low Quality" posts are unacceptable and will be rejected. Examples are replying to discussion with "Thanks!" "Cool!" "Agreed!" or it can also be with threads as "Here is the tutorial (video link)". Multiple offenses may be subject to infractions.

1C. Please provide a virus scan on all download links that have the extension '.exe'. If there is no scan your post will be deleted without warning.

1D. Warez or cracked softwares are not allowed on public forums, only in private forums. All posts with warez will be moved to the specified location.

1E. All download links with surveys or Adf.ly links are banned. Any sites requiring any form of payment for download are also banned.

1F. Please do NOT double-post we have an edit button for a reason. Examples of this would be correcting your post with another post and that is considered post boosting.


2A. No heavy trolling in the shoutbox, light trolling is fine but if the person asks you to stop you must stop or you will be dealt with by a moderator. This includes things like calling members 'Gay', 'Dumb', or 'Stupid'. Do not insult people's values.

2B. Absolutely no advertising of other boards. You will be infracted if you do so. However links such as screenshots and social media are permitted.

2C. If stuff in the shoutbox is getting out of hand, PM a moderator with a screenshot and timestamp of what happened and when it happened. We will take the necessary action(s).

2D. Please refrain from posting large images. Posting .gifs in mass is also not allowed.

2E. Have a good time, act maturely, be friendly, make friends, and have fun! That's what this community is all about. Webmaster talk, forum talk and all the good stuff is very much allowed. If things get too complicated for the shoutbox we recommend you make a topic in the appropriate forum!

2F. The use of excessive smilies in the shoutbox is prohibited, even if there is a diverse amount. This kind of content can lag the chat. Such behavior could result in a temporary suspension from chatting.


3A. Only one account per user. No more or both will be banned.

3B. Do not attempt to mini-moderate. This is seen as both spam and abusive behavior. Simply report the offending post and we'll handle it.

3C. You may not share subscription content with ANY other rank than a subscriber. You may not distribute, mirror, or otherwise give away subscription content without the express permission of a RedDotCity staff member. If you are caught doing so, you may not ever be allowed back here.

3D. No member shall send a link or show off attacking anyone in any sort of way including but not limited to: Booting, hacking websites, sending viruses etc. A member could show off using screenshots, text, downloads, or video. (Any attacks carried out by members are not linked to RedDotCity.net)

3E. If you witness another user violating these terms, please report it. Do not attempt to call out the user in an act of vigilantism.

3F. The report system is there to make us aware of rule-breaking posts, private messages, visitor messages, and so on. The abuse of this system could lead to you being punished and restricted from using this system.

3G. Sharing or selling your RedDotCity account is strictly prohibited and if done it will cause both the buyer and seller's account (and the original accounts) to be banned permanently.

Respecting the Authority of Staff:

4A. Public discussions of staff actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest staff actions in titles, avatars, signatures, the shoutbox, etc. If you do not like something that a staff member said/did, DO NOT discuss this in the forums. If necessary, start a conversation with the staff member and try your best to solve the problem or difference in a private discussion.

4B. Staff members have the last word in any dispute. Moderators and Editors have been given special privileges due to the trustworthiness and dedication they show to the community. All staff have the right to, without question, violate any rule they deem necessary for the benefit of the site. Staff have supreme authority, and, as such, all grievances are to be directed to the Administrator. Any user found disregarding this is subject to account termination.

4C. We ask you to please be friendly and respectful to all Staff members because they have taken time from their personal schedule to help run and maintain the community. Insulting Staff includes: name calling, telling them how to do their job, hateful remarks, etc. Anybody found disrespecting Staff can be subject to ban. If you have noticed a Staff member is being disrespectful to regular members, do not hesitate to contact Site Administration.
